RAAS NAYAK- SHRI GOKULCHANDRAMAJI'S PATOTSAV
Ashad Vad (vraj-Shravan Vad) Choth (4)
From today Hindola starts in Shri Gokulchandramaji - Shri Raghunathji's House (Pancham Grih of Pushtimarg)
Vaarta/Story :
Eka Kshatraani(Mahavan) obtained 4 swaroops from within Yamunaaji.
One of the swaroops swaroops happened to be 'Shri Gokulchandramaaji'. She then handed over all the 4 swaroops to shri mahaprabhuji.
Shri Mahaprabhuji then handed the swaroop of Shri Gokulchandramaaji to one of his closest sevak called Naraayandaas Brahmachaari.
After Naraayandaas Brahmachaari the swaroop was reverred by Shri Gusainji and Shri Gusainji handed this swaroop to his 5th son 'Shri Raghunathji'
where till date the swaroop is with his descendants. This swaroop is now in 'Kamvan'.
(Dasham Skand's Taamas Fal Prakaran, 32nd chapter) according to which Shri Gokulchandramaaji is the same swaroop whose leela is mentioned herein:
This is the same swaroop that performed the 'Mahaa Raas Leela' with the vraj bhakts. It was Gokulchandramaaji who ordered Shri
Mahaprabhuji in Gokul at midnight to give 'Brahmasambandh' to his bhakts(Daivi jeev). The Maduraashtakam that Shri Mahaprabhuji has
composed is in the praise of Shri Gokulchandramaaji. The lord Shri Gokulchandramaaji is dark hued(MeghaShyaam). He is i.e. he
is tilted from 3 sides i.e. from the neck, waist and feet. He holds and plays the flute with both the hands. The right foot is raised and fingers of his
right foot touches the left foot. The left foot is firmly placed on the ground. His gaze is downwards thereby looking at his devotees with absolute
grace. The left foot placed firmly on the ground indicates the laying of the foundation of 'Pushtibhakti'. The raised right foot indicates breaking
barriers of the 'Maryaadaa'.
