SEVA ON PAVITRA EKADASHI
The Saaj today is of 'Kashida' (embroidered). If the time is auspicious in the morning then Pavitra should be donned after Shringaar,
if it is auspicious only in the evening then it should be donned after Utthapan.
Today's Vastra is (Safed) White/ Gold border with orange Moti and (Kesari Buti) Pichoda,
White Kuleh (like in Rath Yatra), Jod of 5 Chandrika and
ornaments are of Manek/ Moti (Rubies and Pearls).
The Shringaar is upto the Charnarvind. Then to the accompaniment of the
sounds of Shank/ Jaanjh, the Lord is adorned with Pavitra.
Today's special offering is Mishri, Shakar Para, Manohar and Barfi.
Today the Pichwai and Jhalar of the Hindola are white in colour. Today's Hindola is of
Pavitras of different colors. At the time of Shayan when the Shringaar is
removed the Pavitra should be removed. But again upto Raksha Bandhan, the Shriji is
donned with Pavitra which finally is removed when the Rakhi is
removed in Shayan on the day of Raksha Bandhan.
